Dough EV is a cafe and doughnut shop specializing in fair trade, single-origin coffee from Canadian roasters, making a big impact in the way coffee is sourced and bought in North America. They also specialize in doughnuts made from scratch with a nostalgic vibe.

Since most of their deliveries are in London’s core area, bike deliveries seemed a viable alternative to cars. Thanks to the Climate Action Microgrant, Dough EV seized the chance to purchase a pedal-assist bike to green their transportation.
With their new delivery bike in place, Dough EV is expecting to reduce about 1.36 tonnes of GHG emissions in avoiding the need to use gas-powered vehicles for deliveries. They are also saving money in fuel costs, as well as avoiding the need to partner with food delivery apps that charge significant fees and don’t always meet quality standards.
The team envisions adding a trailer to use as a mini-cafe, improving their workspace at the outdoor markets they attend in the spring, summer and fall. This would be a showcase for more sustainable vending set-ups, showing patrons eco-friendly and attractive options.
